Rules
Goal
Reach the agreed target score, commonly 5,000, 10,000 or 20,000. Once a player reaches the target, the others finish the round and the highest score wins.
Your turn
- Roll all six dice.
- Choose the scoring dice you want to hold.
- If you scored at least 50 points, you may bank the points or continue with the remaining dice.
- If a later roll scores nothing, you lose all points accumulated during that turn.
Ones and fives
- Each 1 = 100 points.
- Each 5 = 50 points.
Three or more of a kind
Three equal dice score the face value × 100. Three ones score 1,000.
Each additional matching die in the same roll doubles that score.
Straight
A 1–2–3–4–5–6 straight scores 2,000 points.
All six dice score
If all six dice score, you may roll all six again. If the next roll scores nothing, you lose all points accumulated during that turn.
Minimum bank
Players may agree in advance on a minimum score required to bank, for example 300 or 400.
Tips
Strategy
Whether to bank or risk another roll depends on how many dice remain and on the game situation.
If an opponent has reached the target and you are finishing the final round, taking greater risks can become worthwhile.
